Fare Information
How much does it cost?
When you make a reservation for a trip on East Bay Paratransit, you will be told the fare for your trip. You must pay your fare before or as soon as you board the vehicle. You may pay in cash, with tickets, or through the Contactless Payment App. If you are paying with cash, please bring exact change because the drivers cannot make change.
Tickets are available in $4.00 or $1.00 denominations and come in books of ten.

Fares for one-way trips to or from San Francisco
If your trip starts or ends in San Francisco, fares are based on zones and distance from Civic Center BART.

How do I Buy a Ticket?
East Bay Paratransit sells fare tickets at our main office. Tickets may be purchased in person or ordered by mail. In addition, there are other locations where tickets may be purchased in person. These locations do not accept mail orders. A list of in-person ticket vendors is available online.

Order tickets by mail
To order tickets by mail, you must complete a ticket order form. You may download the form online or request that a form be mailed to you by calling (510) 287-5000. Download a copy of the Ticket Book Order Form.
Please ensure the form is complete and that you have enclosed a check for the correct amount. Incomplete forms or incorrect payment amounts may cause delays in processing.
Mailing rules:
- Orders greater than $90 will be sent via certified U.S. mail with a return receipt.
- Orders greater than $400 cannot be sent by U.S. mail and must be picked up in person.

Online Ticket Purchase
Step 1: Select your ticket type and amount
- $10 booklet – 10 one-dollar tickets, plus handling fees
- $40 booklet – 10 four-dollar tickets, plus handling fees
Please note:
- Handling fees are $1.50 for orders of $90 or less, $5.00 for orders of $91–$160, and $6.00 for orders of $161 or higher.
- Credit card payments are limited to a maximum of $200.
- Orders greater than $90 are sent via certified U.S. mail with a return receipt.
- Orders greater than $400 must be picked up in person at 1750 Broadway, Oakland.

You may travel to and from any of these cities to anywhere in San Francisco. Travel to other parts of the Bay Area may be possible by using East Bay Paratransit for part of the trip and transferring to another ADA paratransit service.
